    wtf now!!? m20 dies

    When i tried to star the car it wont keep running unless i hold the gas pedal...if i let it go it will die instantlly, no vaccums, i re-ajusted the tps, cleaned the icv, fpr its good... wtf can be causing this? any advice would be aprecciated.
    no more boosted m20, 91 318i...

    fuel pressure check?
    AFM checked?
    does it stay the same if you pull the oil cap off?

      The first thing I'd do would be to have a smoke test run. Intake leaks are very likely and can be the cause of this.
      The car makes it possible, but the driver makes it happen.

        Cabriolet: didnt check with the oil cap off, afm its good and didnt check the fuel pressure yet.

        Jlevie: i checked for vaccums with carb cleaner, anyways i will try to perform a smoke test.

        FORGOT TO MENTION: if the rpm needle goes below 1k it will die instantlly.

          How do the plugs read? Are they the same color for all six? I had two bad injectors that were sticking and flooded the engine below 1k. Once it was above that, it ran ok, not great but ok.

            Matias, you need to back track and think of things you did while changing the oil tube o-rings since the car ran good before that. You know all the sensors are good because last time you were here we discovered the TPS not reading properly.

            Unless something broke while you were making the repair, all the parts were in good working order, so something had to change since then.

            Too bad you live so far away :(

              Hey Jhon!, after i got the vaccum fixed the car ran grat, i daily drove it for a week with no boost at all, saturday when i was about to head to the shop it start acting wierd... anyways im selling her, my grandmother pasted away man and i had to help the family with money etc etc... anyways i know ill be back in a e30 next year!.
