If the new pump doesn't have a check valve or if the FPR or injectors are leaking the fuel rail will lose pressure when the engine is off. With a good OE pump the rail should see normal pressure in just a few turns of the engine, even if the rail pressure starts at zero. But if the injectors are leaking, you'd still be faced with flooded engine and a good number of turns of th engine would be required to clear the engine.
The pump you fitted may have higher pressure, but a lower flow rate and might be missing the check valve. Replace that trash with a new OE pump. And make sure that the FPR and injectors aren't leaking.Leave a comment:

Do you know the difference between dead-head and return systems?Leave a comment:

see that confuses me, the new fuel pump should add more pressure. faster?Leave a comment:

I have the same fuel pump and the same cranking issues. All the pressure leaves the fuel rail after a couple hours, and it takes some cranking to get pressure back. I have an adjustable fpr with gage, so after it re-pressurizes, its fine.Leave a comment:

lmao Farbin.
Check the fuel pump sock. If you didn't replace that, chances are its that.Leave a comment:
