lol, I wasn't suggesting that it was your headgasket.

So are you going to check for vacuum leaks or not?

I'm not butt hurt. The statement does me no good. I want to check everything before assuming it's the head gasket. There was no extra pressure in the cooling system, no loss of oil or coolant so all signs point to it not being the HG. With an engine running as rough as mine was, there would have to be something getting into something where it shouldn't be.

This is the shit I don't get. You make a thread asking for help, and then get all butthurt and sarcastic when you don't hear what you want to hear. If something irks you, ignore it and move on.

He is absolutely correct in saying that a blown HG does not necessarily mean you will get mixed fluids. If it's an external leak (cylinder to atmosphere) you still lose compression and it will run rough.

Have you checked for vacuum leaks yet?

All the rockers are in tact. I don't think the HG went. no oil in coolant or coolant in oil. *shrugs* wtf?

depending pn the degree of the overheat, you may have lost a head gasket. damn finiky M20's

compression is 150/160/150/140/155. Of course, now I realize I forgot a cylinder...

Every cylinder has spark. When I pull each wire the car def idles differently. The car does sound like it's missing on one cylinder.

I'll finish the comp check tomorrow, it'll show if I have a broken rocker arm. That and I'll yank the valve cover.

When i had a broken rocker arm, I had the same thing going on. May have broke from the overheating.

The impact with the tire wall may have created an intake leak. Also take a critical look at the motor and transmission mounts.

started a topic overheated. Now runs kinda rough. Thoughts?

overheated. Now runs kinda rough. Thoughts?

spun into a tire wall but no damage. Somehow the upper coolant hose sprung a leak. Fixed it real fast, topped up the coolant and went back out.

I've got the car back from the track but it idles kinda rough now and hesitates to rev. Drives fine. It's just the on throttle response is kinda meh and the engine shakes like a mofo. Any thoughts as to what could be wrong?
Working...
