Better build, from SETA to m20b25 or stroker

So I have a sedan with a SETA engine, I want to know is a better investment in quest for daily drive power increase. I have 3 options inside my budget, 1)Have a m20b25 for a steal from a friend in pristine condition but no ECU. 2) Do a stroker but for what I have read it required a lot of money to do it properly. 3)Final option is to put some mild goodies to my SETA, like headers, chip and air filter. The car is intend for daily drive and also I dont want anything that fast do to maintenance. Thanks in advance.

The best bang for the buck would be an M20B25 head, intake, injectors, AFM, engine harness, and DME. The gains from a chip and headers is minimal and the gains from an air filter are none.
The car makes it possible, but the driver makes it happen.

I think you're missing the point of what he said- take the M20B25 head, intake, AFM, injectors, etc and put them on the SETA bottom end and you've got a 2.7l "i" stroker. No custom pistons, no other BS needed

You will need an "i" ECU, but they're cheap enough.

Umm ok well, if u see it that way, its really the right thing to do. I need to use the b25 injectors or can use mines?

I'm confused. Will the stroker make more peak horsepower than than the m20b25? This conversion is the reason I found r3v two years ago and I'm still gathering the parts. I'm slow because I wonder if it's worth it.

I thought the CR was still a little lower than m20b25 even with SETA pistons. Never mind, I can look that up.

Pointers to any dyno sheets comparing a stock m20b25 to a budget stroker with the SETA pistons and 885 head? I have most of what I need parts wise, now looking for motivation!

Is performance or cost more important? The best performance will be from an M20B25 transplant using an lower mileage engine (less than 150K) and having the head rebuilt if the mileage is 100k or more.

Do people use m30 afm's for strokers?
