    m20 stroker Q (piston)

So as some know I am building a b25 stroker with a m52 crank. Long story short the pistons were not all the good in the engine. So I bought some short skirts and got FUCKED by a seller on here. Heat cracked and 2" chips in them lol

So I want to go with the same type of b25 short skirts. I tried to find a part # on the pistons but could not find a normal part# only 83,98 and I know that is the 83.9800mm on realOEM.

    Here is my question:

I have the block ready to go to the machine shop to get honed. But I was liking the 84,480MM(+0,50). They are larger and would allow me to get the block bored out a bit to refresh it.

So can anyone chime in about what to do?

Have you considered maxsil? They seem like a really good deal what with the coasted skirts and all. $500 for a set from bavauto includes rings and pins. I wonder why dont more people use these?

I am calling them tomorrow since they are closed for Labor day. And I am not looking for customs, just something to replace the old b25 ones. Maybe a little bigger so I can have the block bored out a little to freshen it up.

You don't need new pistons, there's nothing wrong with used pistons. Just get some out of an engine that wasn't trashed. I've personally thrown away a few good sets in my day, lol.

It's a bit hard to find the short skirt pistons though. You can always just cut down and balance the longer skirt pistons.

I still have all of his b25 ones out of the motor that I am using for the build. They have some light wear on the sides but that is normal. But they look to be in good shape, I will see about having them shorten and balanced.
