    That and the fan clutch lasts longer and is more reliable than electric.

    It "went out" after 25 or so years. How many people's original aux fans still work right?

      Mine still works and it's an '89. Keeps my temps at the middle, even with the A/C on.

      If it's not broken, don't fix it. Simple as that.
      1989 325i - 2.7i, Holset H1C, 60lb injectors, whodwho MS-PNP.

        Haha mine is broked, which is why I got a new clutch from Blunt ;) just can't get this damn thing off

          i ended up using a long nose vise grip, locked it on that biatch, then i used a prybar as a "punch" on the vise grip with a hammer to break mine free.

            i cut it off with a sawzall and buy a new pulley if u wanna put another on or go get one at the jyard

              I use a squared sided screwdriver wedged between the water pump bolts and a decent sized wrench

              Works great for me

                ^Exactly what I did. Ive never had too much trouble with it. If you havent already, spray some PB or WD-40 on the sucker. If that fails heat it up with propane torch or brazing tip and if you can get some put a little bees wax on it while hot.

                  take a old belt put it on the water pump pully and pinch it as tight as u can with a visescrips and hold on to the belt take ur wrench and twist the clutch off that's how i did it yesterday
