Found an elusive 7 bearing SETA head.

I picked up a SETA motor a while back, pulled the head and measure the stroke to be sure. The PO told me it had the "885 head swap" but never opened the valve cover before taking it to the shop. Well, a customer's car is here (same guy I got the motor from), pulled the head on his car to add studs and MLS gasket, but found a crack on the head from the seat to the coolant passage - SO - I take the "885 i head" apart and noticed it had an "m" stamped on it. SETA cam, but it's weird, I see on the forums all the time that there was no 7 bearing SETA cam, but thing sure has 7 journals, single springs and "M" cam.

Anyone have a link to get the specs from this cam? It's easy to get the lift by subtracting the base circle from max lobe, but the duration looks really short at peak lift.

      You did?

4 and 7 nearing cams exist, but what's the norm?

I think I told you so actually. Myster-e is a friend of mine though.

All of the Super Eta engines I have seen have been the 7 bearing.

All of them are 7 bearing. ;) IIRC only the 200 casting heads are 4.

Let see if this will help settle this, there are 4 journal ones as well. There have been many of posts of people wanting to change out the cams and needing to drill the oil holes.

I can take better pics when I do my next valve adjustment, this is just a pic from when I had it off. You can see by the ports and part# that it is a 885, you can see by the bottom arrows there are journals not drilled, and you can sort of see by the top arrows that the cam doesn't have a journal there.

If you save the pic local I think you can see it bigger
