    So sick of this

Ok so i had an issue a while back where water would make my car run like shit sputter out and die.

What i've done and determined werent issue

    -fuel pump
    -cap/rotor/plugs
    -o2 sensor
    -fpr
    -temp sensors
    -afm

Im at a loss, everytime i put in some full fuel sys cleaner (no not the diesel or alcohol or seafoam shit) it runs like a top.

I havent checked wires or ign coil.

This morning it died i cranked it forever no luck, let her cool off. cranked and it fired right up. drove it home threw some cleaner in it. Took it for a long test. MINT. HELP ME

I know you indicated you checked the fuel pump. Unless you did some modifying, your 85 has two fuel pumps. Did you check both the inside tank pump and the outside pump? From your description it really sound like the in-tank pump is not working all that well.

Where/how is the water being applied? Is it still water related?

Just rainy days it runs like ass, i thought maybe a pump issue but it runs mint once all sorted out, any sort of low rev pull will effect it until dry. Though i hear a whining from the tank pump not bad but always a possibility

Plug wires are a place i would check. Get a spray bottle with water in it and spray all over the plug wires while the car is running. Also the crank position sensor could be going bad.

I had this problem. Most likely its your wires shorting out. In the dark with you car running spary water over them with a spray bottle and you'll probably have a light show. Also check your pulse sensor, my fan ate mine and it helped when i changed

              CPS location and pulse location?

If your car is an 85 you have a speed and a reference sensor attached to the transmission bell housing near the bottom on the drivers side reading the flywheel.
