Has anyone purchased refurbished fuel injectors?

of course you can cycle an injector with a battery. all that proves is it turns on and off. it doesn't tell you if the injector is leaking, if the pintle is stuck shut or open, if the fuel dribbles out the end, etc. etc.

while you're at it, when your CEL comes on just put some black tape over it. costs like 10 cents and does the same job! ;)

I bought a rebuilt set off ebay from one of the big rebuilding guys for about $100. Great price, and they work great.

I tried cleaning and refurbishing my own set, but they didn't work out correctly. They still leaked fuel.

eBay, roughly $90 per set of 6, 4-pintle. Can get 14.5lb or 19lb. Make sure you pick a seller that fully rebuilds, flow matches etc and has excellent feedback. Some "rebuilt" injectors just have the plastic bits and filter screens replaced, which doesn't do much.

RCEngineering is where I got mine done. Had them back in 2 days. They are kinda local to me though. It was really worth it to me considering the information you get back about the pattern and amount.
