    Motronic 1.0 to 1.3 upgrade

My 1986 325ix came with a 073 35 pin ecu. I am contemplating swapping to the 173 ecu as I am in the middle of a rebuild on it and have the motor apart.

What else do I need to do to swap it, here is what I have for necessary changes:

    Swap engine harness
    swap ecu
    swap CPS
Swap smooth crank pulley damper wheel to toothed pulley damper wheel
    Remove transmission sensor and replace

Is there anything else? What about the Check Engine Light on the dash?
I heard the connectors on the transmission sensor may be different, can anyone verify this?

What about the fuse box? Is it different or can it be re-used?

    Thanks!

    EDIT*
    I found this,

The early motronic uses two sensors attached to the gearbox. The later has just the one at the front.

The later loom has different pins at the brake master cylinder and coolant and washer bottle, they are round pins so you might need to look at that as well.
It is a straightforward swap and there is no need to remove the engine or gearbox it can be done in place
I also found change 6th HT lead, what is this?

No one makes this car anymore. The government won't allow them, normal people won't buy them. So it's up to us: the freaks, the weirdos, the informed. To buy them, to appreciate them, and most importantly, to drive them.
