I won't say it is easy, but I've not found removing or installing the intake manifold to be difficult if it has the correct (12mm) nuts. I use a 1/4" drive ratchet extensions & flex joint. If the intake has been on for a while the most difficult part is getting the oil return tube down into the block (or holding it there if it moves freely). If the tube keeps sliding back up, have a helper hold it down.
After the manifold is out, clean the tube and where it fits into the intake and block. Every time the intake is removed, the oil return tube seals need to be replaced. Compress the spring and use safety wire or a tiny zip tie to hold it compressed until the intake is back on.The car makes it possible, but the driver makes it happen.

So it turns out my idiot mechanic didnt take off the old gasket on 4 of the inlets..so basically thats where the leak was. I sealed it back up and it seems to be running much better. Now im just waiting for the intake boot and throttle body gasketComment
