    install parts w/o chip?

I just received 19.5lb injectors and m30 AFM from a forum member but dont have a chip yet..I will be buying one very soon if there are none used in good condition on here that fit my ecu..very unlikely soo..I hear that some people install these with out the chip but i feel that it may be a little rough running for the engine.. any one have personal experience to give advice?

you cant just take an m30 afm and install it on m20. that wont work and that's why you're running rough.

you have to swap the afm internals from the m20 to the afm. good luck.

i didnt install it yet, and i am aware of the internals. PO said it was already swapped and ready to go... so should i wait for a chip?

Might as well wait. This will give you motivation to buy the chip!

If the M20 AFM internals are in the M30 AFM....then wouldn't it be just like hooking up another M20 AFM, only...larger?

ive read a few places that it is a increase in power..not a whole lot but probably just as much if not more than a CAI..it has a much bigger bellow allowing a higher volume of air..should yield more air into the engine...couple that with more fuel..idk. i guess ill find out. ill inform ppl of the difference if you want.

027 as opposed to 028..but it shouldnt matter if the internals are swapped.

You won't need to swap the internals on an 027.

You can put the stuff on the car and it will run fine. A chip will definitely help though.

Personally, I do not recommend 19lb injectors for an otherwise stock M20. i prefer the 17lb M50 injectors.
