    Squeek when cold

when my engine in cold, maybe for the first 2-3 minutes, I hear a screachy belt noise at 2-4k-ish rpm. No noise at idle.

I have alread removed the drive belt and ran the engine while cold to verify that it was in the timing

I've have that problem before, replaced the t-belt and tensioner and water pump with new OEM parts (from Blunt) and the noise went away for 6 months or so. Now its back...

I don't believe that a new tensioner bearing went bad that fast, but it is possable. Is it possable I mis-adjusted it? There is a tiny oil seepage from the intermediate shaft seal, will a drop of oil do that?

Oil seepage from any of the front seals won't cause this, nor will misadjustment of the tensioner. But a failing bearing in the tensioner will.
The car makes it possible, but the driver makes it happen.

I had this same problem and found out my alternator was loose! The tension on the belt was also on the loose side, once I corrected these problems (simultaneously) the problem was fixed. I suppose it could have just been the tension. Btw tightening the alternator was a pain if you find an easy way to do it lmk. Good luck squeaks suck. And are embarrassing.

could also be a worn pully. pick up a can of anti squeel belt dressing. i know you're not supposed to use it but while it's squeeking, hit the belts one at a time and that way you can narrow it down to which ( if any ) of the belts or pullys it is. if belts are tight your pully might be worn. you could try a little emry paper to give it a little more bite. worked for me.

^ thanks guys, but I've already narrowed it down to a timing issue

I removed both belt (no ac) and started the engine when cold, and noise is present. Can't be a drive belt or pulley
