any updates your fist vid sounds like a engine i'm working on, gonna try a valve adjustment and re check the timing and see if it fixes it this weekend.

It seems like you have eliminated valve timing as a potential source. I am not as familiar with BMW block noises as with other engines, but I would take a very hard look at your valve adjustments to eliminate that too before you go in to the block. You should also do a compression or leak down test, to see if you have a bent valve not my guess). Every valave adjustment I have done has turned up at least 1 stripped adjusting nut so check that they are all tight and holding.
If it's not valve clearances, my unofficial guess is wrist pin, but others will more experience on that point than I.
