    Stroker Build Q?!

I currently have 2 engines an early eta 2.7 engine and an 88+ Is engine. I'm making a stroker with these.

My question is which one is cheaper to rebuild?

Should I use the 2.7 crank, rods and pistons in the Is block or should I use the Is head, Im,wiring and ecu in the Eta block?

*This is for a turbo build, arp studs, rod bolts(if necessary) and cometic HG will be used.*

The blocks are the same, it makes no difference which one you use.

Some say that the crankcase in the 2.7 blocks is cast differently due to the larger crank, but I can't really confirm if this is true or not. I doubt it though.

Yeah, it really doesn't matter which block you use. Are you doing a full rebuild with new bearings and bolts?

In that case, make sure you buy bearings specific to the date of your block. There was a changeover between early and late model blocks.

the only difference are early/late blocks which use slightly different bearings.

I've helped out at my local shop and built a 2.7 stroker and seen what they can do an for what it is it's actually kinda impressive, especially to boost, I've got lots of motor parts if you need any as well.
