    Stupid question RE: spark plugs

Turns out my race car came with a set of Bosch +4s. Want them out. Okay...

Thing is, the replacement plugs I see all have this kind of tip:

Whereas the end of the plug I have now has this kind of tip:

And the replacement plugs won't snap into my wires. Do I have the wrong kind of wires too? Or do I have the wrong plugs? Or is the end removable? It doesn't seem to have anything a wrench could latch onto.

Help me, for I feel stupid here.

lol. Hmmmm well they should be removable but some aren't. It's cheaper to get the proper set of plugs to work with your wires.

Grap the tip with pliers and unscrew it.
The car makes it possible, but the driver makes it happen.

W8LCRs don't have that problem. You can also index them with a sharpie mark.

I think you can pull off the tip before installing..?
          Mine were that way.

I bought some Bosch sparks plug (not +4) from O'Reilly awhile back and the tips are not removable even though their system said the plugs are compatible with my car. The tips from +4 are removable, however.

I was about to post this same question. I got the tips off of my new plugs and installed them but the wires seem a bit looser than they should, I think.

Tried the pliers earlier but I stopped because I thought I was damaging it. It came right off with a little force though. Thanks
