    That poor car....

So, the PO tested the CPS by using mine, no change.

We swapped AFMs, FPRs and AFMs. No change. I tested the main relay too...again, no change.

Something I don't remember checking is the connector under the intake manifold. I wish I had been able to get over there and work on the car more. Between busy and shitty weather, I had no time.

Can I +1 myself from the previous thread?

I know you said you are waiting on a FP gauge, but I got a loaner from Autozone for a fully refundable deposit of $30. They also have the noid lights you can use to test the injector pulse. Fuel at the rail doesn't automatically mean fuel (or proper amount of fuel) in the cylinder.

It is also possible that you have an issue with wiring (harness). Harness issues can cause issues with ignition and fuel delivery. Fuel delivery also includes the injectors pulsing.

Try starting it with starting fluid (ether). If it starts and revs briefly without missing, then dies... it's almost certainly fuel delivery.

At this point you need to know if the rail fuel pressure is correct (using a gauge) and whether the injectors are firing (using a noid light). Until you know the answers to those questions anything else is conjecture.
The car makes it possible, but the driver makes it happen.

More Info - fuel delivery related:

Compared to the West and East coasts, there aren't a lot of us here in STL that know BMW's. However, the ones that do really know their shit. I'm not a guru yet, but resurecting an e24 and an e30 has me well on my way.

So I would say add this to your list of things to check.
              1. Check for corrosion
              2. check injector pulse
              3. check fuel pressure
All of these should be free or nearly free to check.

theyre having me fron 109$ to rent one... so im just waiting on my paycheck, then im gonna test it. as for now i guess il just try to check acsessible points of the harness.

the only reason i posted this again is just cause im looking for as much input and knowledge as possible.

Did you take that connector apart yet and inspect it?

I have a thread asking how to remove a wire from a connector (C202 as it happens). If thats what you guys are referring to I'd appreciate the mechanics. If not pardon the random thought :-)

                        OBC start inhibit?

                        just throw me some input.[/quote]
I saw a thread a few days ago where the OBC had latched a start inhibit state when power was interrupted by disconnecting the battery. The solution was to disconnect the battery and follow the process to reset the code using the ignition switch.
