mileage and gas mileage of your m20

I just did a search and this forum actually has more of these threads for m50s and m42s than m20.....


What is the mileage on your m20. WHAT IS THE YEAR AND MODEL AND TRANS

Is there anything out of the ordinary about it?

What is the gas mileage. overall is fine but mostly highway mileage. What is the most you ever got?




Ok mine has 216k miles.

It gets around 19 in 90% city with lots of idling ( courrier driver)

28 mpg on mostly freeway 1000 mile trip at 65 or lower.


My car has AC delete, no chip that I know of. mine has a 3.73 lsd its an 89.

i would say you are about normal for an m20...

Im interested in what gas mileage everyone has not just mine.
But if theres anything unique about yours that might make it get less or more than it should is good info.

I have up to date plugs wires o2 sensor. Basically in decent tune could be better
. I THINK its sucking down a quart every 5000 which Ive heard these cars did when new...

i live in the pnw which is a lot cooler than where you are in phoenix, so that shouldnt help...

also, we all have ethanol in the pnw only at this point.
