horrible idle, only while car is rolling in neutral/clutch in

So basically, everytime I start up the start it starts pretty reliable, might chug for a half a second, but settle out at a nice 800 rpm idle.

So after I hit the gas it hesitates really bad, then starts to rev up, and if i start moving and then push in the clutch, the car will either have a huge variance in idle, going from like 50rpm to 1500rpm, or it will just chug at a very very low rpm threatening to stall. And then sometimes it does stall.

And then as I slow down to a stop, once I'm stopped, the idle will settle out at an even 800 again. It doesnt matter how fast or slow im going, the idle will always be horrible until i come to a complete stop.

Any ideas? I changed the plugs recently, but thats it as far as maintenence so far

    EDIT:
this was intake leaks, ALWAYS do a smoke test when in doubt.

The hesitation off idle and the behavior when closing the throttle sounds most like intake leaks, possibly coupled with a sticky ICV and/or a bad TPS. A smoke test will find the leaks.
The car makes it possible, but the driver makes it happen.

I had a similar problem where the valve timing was way out.
