e to i swap, harness questions

    I have a 1987 325e, I acquired a 1987 325i wiring harness.

I have started to put the harness is an just noticed that there seems to be extra connections in the glove box. I have two single wire connectors. One has a white male plug and the other has a black male plug.

I also have a green box inside my glove box, but this new harness does not have a plgu for it. Does this mean that I get rid of the green box?

    can anyone help me?

If you want, you can take a look at my car and check out the differences.

That may be what I need to do, but the guy I am emailing seems to know his crap.
If I give him a list he will tell me if he has it or not.

If anyone else can add to that list I would appreciate it. I want to pick up a motor within the next week or two

late model cooling isn't a necessity. the key parts are the vacuum lines and electricals.

Just send me a PM, if you need to. Plus, it's an excuse to meet another e30 guy.

You can just use the car's original cooling system if you want.

If you get a wiring harness from an 87 i/is/ic everything will be plug and play.

                    Thanks guys!

I will most likely get the harness from this guys and just continue to look for an 87 one.

So overall does the list look good?

Do I need to get the flywheel from an i?

Im in the same boat as op, I was reading that you use the late model waterpump, so you dont have to replace all the coolant parts to the newer coolant system. is that true?

You certainly should, the ETA flywheel is typically a dual mass turd
