I have a mystery performance cam and I don't know who makes it. Are schrick cams labeled in the cast or is there any distinguishing marks on them. Just curious. I thinking about putting it in my 2.3
Schrick Cam ?

They do:
What about it make you think it is not stock? that might help identify it. -
Cool. Thank you for help. Now it's time to go take a look and what it is. Do most manufactures stamp their cams?Comment

I noticed when I had to heads sitting side by side. The one head, the valves were farther open then the other. I remember a buddy and me measured both of them and the one cam was noticeably larger. I can't remember how much more it was, but there was a large difference.Comment

Others engrave numbers on the end of the cams.
I would definitely identify it before using it, just throwing a mystery cam in not knowing the specs isn't the best idea. It could be a overly hot cam and totally not be usable and/or give you valve to piston clearance issues.Comment

If you've got a 2.3L M20 you should just stick with the stock cam.Comment
