    is there a quick trick to removing the t-stat housing....

    without taking off the intake manifold, to loosen the fuel rail?

      The only way to get the housing off with the intake in place is to remove the studs that attach the housing to the block.
      The car makes it possible, but the driver makes it happen.

          you can definitely take out the fuel rail without removing the thermostat housing.
