    M20 hp

I'm really really new to BMWs. Ive been into 240s and I saw an E30 and fell in love! Haha and I was just wondering how much hp you can get out of a M20 B27? Thanks

it all depends on what u want..

with the b27 i assume u have a 325e.. which is the economy version on the e30.

with a simple head and diff swap. u can drastically change the car the torque and Hp of the car.

it all depends on the work u want to do..

there are more than a few 300+HP m20's here on slightly aggressive boost.

    coming from 240's..

    please dont ruin the e30...

I also came from 240's. Too many of them are ruined and even when I had a 240, I have always admired the E30. So don't fuck it up. lol

If you get one, congrats. They definitely are a different car but in a fun and simple respect.

Well I'm only 16 and I own a 99' Tahoe bahaha. But I plan on getting a E30 for my first car I buy. Ive never had a 240 but my older bro has had 4 so I've been around them for years.

Don't give him too much false hope there. A good Jim C or Mark D chip is the best bang for the buck. But Due to some awesome engineering, there isn't a significant weak point in these cars. No one thing you replace is going to buy you more than 1hp. You'd gain more acceleration by eating healthier and losing a few pounds. this means you need to do multiple component swaps across the entire system to gain much of anything.

E30 are what are called momentum cars. Their strong suit is in taking corners, and IMHO that's where they are the most fun. There are LOTS of upgrades to help your car in the corners, and most are a shiton less than trying to gain horses.
