Hello buds I wanna upgrade my car with some new parts increasing my horsepower on my 1989 BMW 325i. I got 400 dollars to spend, what would some of y'all spend it on ?

Maintenance items.

If you're dead set on something, you could probably work a cheap header and/or exhaust if you installed it yourself. Or an intake and a chip.

Am pretty update on maintenance. But thank on the suggestion, I wanna get as much stuff I can with the 400 bills I just got.

I always like to do suspension. I think it's a more "fun" investment than power mods. If you're set on horsepower, exhaust is the mod to do.

I did injectors, MarkD chip (93 octane), and cat delete, noticed quite a bit of difference on my butt dyno. I would throw out a rough guess of 20 to 30 hp. I have yet to put it on a real dyno.

youd be suprised what cleaning and stripping can do for power

Unless you've got some mods to help the motor breathe better (i.e. K&N filter, big bore throttle body, cam, headers, etc...) you're not going to get 20+hp out of an M20 with just a tune and a cat delete. 10-15hp maybe....

What kind of ecu you have ? And what model E30 it come from ?

Refurbished AFM could revive your car like it was brand new. New injectors would be nice. Gutenparts.com
