cxracing radiator or bimmerworld high capacity radiator?!

since my car always starts over heating in bumper to bumper traffic i think its about time to replace the radiator. i have done some research and narrowed it down to cxracing or the high capacity bimmerworld radiator. i heard good and bad news about the cx racing rad but not much about the bimmerworld rad. what do you guys suggest?

Get the Bimmerworld radiator it is no more expensive than the stock radiator, which is completely adequate if all of the cooling system is in good condition. And while you have the coolant out also replace the expansion tank, cap, all hoses, thermostat, and fan clutch.
The car makes it possible, but the driver makes it happen.

I have CX Racing rad in my car (pd $135, on sale, from Amazon a year ago) and have had no problem. Yes, it is the same one as in your link. Keep in mind that the CX Racing is all aluminum. I have not seen the one from Bimmerworld, but it looks like it has plastic sides (tend to crack after about 5 yrs).

true but cx racing only has 2 core's just like oem. and the other one has 3 cores for more efficient cooling so i might just go with that one to be safe!

2 cores, just like OEM, are sufficient to cool the engine. If your engine is running hot with a good OEM rad then there are other problems that need to be investigated.

            seconded.

The stock radiator is way beyond sufficient cooling for an M20. You can run the stock radiator pushing a turbo m20 at 14+psi and have no cooling issues.

The bimmerworld piece is going to be a standard replacement radiator (nissins or behr) for a different BMW, maybe like a z3 M or something.

Exactly what I'm doing...more than adequate.

will that CX rad fit a factory fan shroud? what modifications are needed to mount in on the core support, and will it really work for ETA's and 2.5's?

                  thanks guys.

works with '88 325i factory shroud (not sure about ealier models)...no modification needed to mount.

I'd worry more about WHY the car is heating up instead of trying to throw a band-aid over it.

OP this is very good advice.
i tried to cover up my overheating issues with bandaids and stuff and eventually i blew a head bolt from riding too hot.

took my engine apart to find that the thermostat was stuck, so a quick 1 hour fix and 20 bucks my car would still be running, but instead i had to do some extensive work, drop a little over 200 and im about 30 hours in it so far.

I have the E36 mishimoto radiator in my M3. It required some trimming of the stock fan shroud...more than I care to think about.

Does the CX Racing one require Any modification? Even a little trimming to the shroud? I like the idea of never having to replace my radiator again.

                              This.

Also, will an e36 radiator really fit in an e30? I'm not concerned about the shroud, more about how it mounts up to the core support and clearance from the engine.
