NEED HELP: 19lbs injectors with ebay 173 ecu tuner chip for 19lbs(supposedly)

Why don't you just put 14lb injectors back in and run them until you have all the parts needed to build a turbo setup. Quit buying chips on Ebay, quit buying obscure injectors, save your money and build/ tune your car properly.
Just my advice...... but hell what do I or Criv, or Jlevie know? Our cars are tuned and run great.
I mean hell man, MarkD makes a chip for an m30 afm and 19lb injectors. How do I know? I spent the money on that, a known good m30 afm, and rebuilt/ flow tested a set of 19lb injectors before I swapped to my split second set up. It's amazing what can happen when you spent the proper $600 or so dollars to make sure the parts you buy won't blow up your motor.
OR buy a wideband Air/Fuel ratio meter and see what is actually happening.

I paid $400 dollars for the car that is why... its my beater and very fun one at that. i love these cars and cant wait to build it but i have a project ahead of it.

clearly you guys have been here a long time and know a lot and have helped MANY people... and i respect that i do!

i was just wonder why it wasnt working as i have found MANY threads where people say 19's work just fine on stock ecu with M30 AND without M20.

it simply looks like i got screw by jumping on used injectors instead of waiting a week longer for ones i KNEW are correct...
thats the only thing i needed to find out.

and i refuse to debate out the ebay chips any longer, find me ONE thread or instance where someones car blew up from an ebay chip... i looked and i didnt find any so...
its a "gamble" i am more than willing to take. if i pop the motor it will encourage me to do a well needed swap anyways.

Figure out what you are going to do performance wise, then buy injectors accordingly.

I NEVER SAID LARGER INJECTORS GIVE MORE POWER!!!

I have tuned 3 differnet 2j's. two with piggy backs and 850cc and one with AEM standalone with ID1000's i understand. its fun shit people are scared of doing.

the stock ecu will adjust the fuel trims to run at reasonable correct arf's man... you dont need a wideband to know this....

thank you for helping but stop saying i think bigger injectors = more power. cuz i know damn well they dont.

But if the bigger injectors are being corrected to reasonable afrs which are pretty much stock afrs cause thats what it is made to do, how is that any different than running stock injectors? maybe just a richer, which wont help at all.

so when and if ever i do decide to go turbo i dont have to buy new injectors. that is the only reason why.

but its completly different. not many ecu's have a plug and play chip that controls the tune. crazy stuff
the montronic ECU is like the simplest ecu ever... its easy to tune and thats why i trust that im getting a random ass tune that will work

at least 30's?? i highly doubt that. especially at low low boost. the thing has like 270k miles on it. and apparently is showing signs of a leaky head gasket.

even if your right 19lbs are very popular, easy to get, cheap and are suitable as a stock replacement!! so why not? maybe i wont even turbo this motor and ill do a whole swap instead?

and no... i wouldnt use a turbo tuned ebay chip when i go turbo. i was thinking about just keeping the AFM and doing ostrich 2.0 and running just 5-7 psi...

Got a nice set of almost new flow matched m50 4 pintle injectors if you interested. Worked great on my m20.

And 19s are too small for a Turbo anyways.

It will adjust yes I know!!!! But it will adjust to basically where your stock injectors are! So why change them at all? Especially with 19lbs that won't support a turbo.
