    rough running m20

So I changed all my intake gaskets, vacuum lines, upgraded to 17lb rebuilt injectors, replaced the wires for the Bavauto's and necessary gaskets.

All the plugs are firing but the motor has a rough idle. I removed the plugs and found #1 cyl plug wet. checked to make sure I was getting spark and it does.

    what could be the problem?

    any help would be appreciated.

    thx.

Check the o-ring on the #1 injector...sometimes they do not seat right.

        1) Replace the O2 sensor if it has 100k on it or is of unknown age.
        2) Put a professionally rebuilt set of OE injectors back in.
        3) Have a smoke test run and fix the leaks it reveals.

There are other possibilities, but start there.
The car makes it possible, but the driver makes it happen.

I think you can save some money by switching injector 1 with 6 and see if the problem follows it.

I was going to go that route. thx for the advice. we'll see what happens today. :-) I don't think it is necessary to do all that work when I know the car very well.

turned out the M50 injector intake o-rings are a smiggin smaller then the M20's. I bought them rebuilt from here but I guess it wasn't taken into consideration they needed to put the M20's rings on instead for a swap. I tested this by reinstalling my M20's and car works fine. Also noted that the m50 injectors went into the intake a bit easier then the M20's.

-Vacuum leak at the seal rings.

thanks for everyone's input. - much appreciated.
