milling the flywheel, need rebalancing ?

    Hi there

My stock m20 flywheel has been milled on a lathe ( the rear lip ), weight comes down 7.3kg. ( from 8.4 kg )

    does it need rebalancing ?

    thanks

Yes it does, with removing the rear you cannot get it perfect for rotational balance. You could end up with a huge issue on your hands. I have had my Uncle reduced both of my M20 flywheels to 13lbs and then sent them off for balancing.
