    First time e30 owner

    So story is i came about an 86 es with an I motor but it idles very rough but when you give it gas its fine. I no way shape or form have any m20 experiance what so ever, what should to be first things i go about checking?

      Have a shop perform a smoke test to find your vacuum leaks. And yes, put your post in the technical forum section.

        Also you can start by checking the intake boot and all vacuum lines visually. Smoke test is the only way to be sure. Even the smallest intake leak makes a huge difference. Pull your oil dipstick/cap with the motor running and it'll usually stall.

              You're new, yes. But there is am m20 forum on here, and i'll gladly move this thread for you to that section. And welcome to r3v. You got to have some thick skin, and also take some time to look around to see what all we have to offer. There are many different sections for each part of an e30.

                  Well thank you all for the help, ill be up dating everyone with progress of the 24v swap due to the fact i dont feel like dealing with the m20
