Pull your lower cluster trim (the flat piece with the thumbscrews in the back) and if you're lucky enough to have a late model cluster swapped in just snap a picture of the coding plug on the front. Jim's 99% likely to be correct but it's safe insurance to make sure its not an i injection setup with a b27 head. Though it's most likely nothing more than someone replacing a cluster with a junkyard find to fix a busted gauge.

Edit: i see you mentioned stock dme, but you didnt mention what dme it was, that could also rule it out pretty fast
