Idle issue shuts off

Ok I just picked up a two door 89 325i and it drives great just one problem when it drops down to idle it wants to shut off and does other then that no other problems anyone know?

try hitting up your local junkyard and try replacing the icv usually that thing goes out. you should start with that.

ICV's usually fail "open" resulting in a high idle. I'd bypass it first and also check your TPS. It could be fouled with oil or not properly set to trigger "idle".

Ok its not the icv I checked I'll check the tps now

Ok I unplugged the tps and nothing changed so it's no bueno I'm assuming

If the TPS is not triggering idle, unplugging it will do nothing. Test it with an ohm meter as per the Bentley.
