My 2.7i lives!! And it sounds mean

I just finished up work on my 2.7i build and i have to say im impressed, it sounds crazy lumpy from the cam but runs ok. Any thought on why it hold the revs so long after bliping it?
Here it is let me know what you think, im just happy it runs again.

    Here is first real run:

And after all the kinks worked out:

The setup is a SETA bottom with a rebuilt head and a 288 shrick. Long tube eBay headers (more like mid-length), M30 MAF (is what I had) and a dinha tuned 173 ecu. Runs pretty damn good. But the stock 2.93 gears are not good with this setup, dosent come alive till about 3000 and by then your moving pretty quick.

              Yea, whats up with that?

When you are on the road you cant really tell, but its running really doggy down low like it is running way to rich and docent rev quick as it should. When it dose rev out it really has the power but down low not so much. i know with that heavy a cam it wouldn't really run till up high but its just not running quite right.
Any thoughts? No codes are coming up.

other than that i can feel its gonna be a monster.

I shall be joining this club in due time. I can't wait to get my 2.7i in and then eventually turbo. Nice work, sir.

The only real problem i have is that i need waaaaaaaaaaaaay shorter gears, the 2.93lsd docent match the power-band of this setup at all IMO. Other than that im pretty happy with the outcome.

So if you blip the throttle at idle, it takes a while for the rpms to come back down? If so, check your throttle position switch. Of the 3 pins on it two have continuity when the throttle is closed. Its the middle one and one of the outer pins. If you dont loosen the two bolts on the sensor and turn it to see if youre able to.get continuity with the trottle closed. If not then the sensor is bad on the inside. The solder tends to crack but sometimes the switches are bad.
