    What goes here?

    Hey all,

I'm having a bit of an issue. I am finishing with a fresh motor installation and am at the point where it's time to add coolant. When adding coolant I noticed a leak. It turns out water is leaking out of a threaded hole in my block, but the only problem is I have no idea what function that hole serves, I see from the diagram that something goes into it, but I don't know what attaches to the connector that comes out. Could someone shed some light on what goes there, and what purpose it serves? Thanks!

(the hole in question is directly above the cylinder 6 freeze plug, and it looks like part number 28 (in the diagram) is supposed to go there.)

I believe that is the feed for the heater core.

That is the return hose for the throttle body heater.

Heater hose connects to the rear of the head.....

I usually loop it to the front one, however I don't think plugging it would harm anything as its just goes into the block

Ah, that's right. Couldn't think of anything else that connected at the back there.

yeah its only used for cold cold cold weather to warm up the throttle body and the air that gets sucked in mainly for areas where its freezing outside im in sd so i plugged mine and didn't cause any issues.
