Weird noise after scraping poop off

Some birds pooped all over the hood of my car so i go to shell gas statiton to fill up and while im there i decide to scrape it off with the squegee (sp?) they have there. Did my thing, filled up completely. As im leaving a notice this weird noise, like somthing was scraping inside my engine, after driving around for ten minutes i noticed it happens at about 3 RPM, you cant reallly hear it from the engine bay which i thought was weird but in the driver seat in stands out. Could water just have leaved in an wet my belts? it cant be anything critical right? i mean, i just scrubbed soapy water over my hood. :(

i know, i need a valve adjustment, but im new to cars and dont have tools or anyone who knows how to do that stuff to make sure i dont mess up my car!

heres the video i took, its somewhat crappy.

It's hard to diagnose things from a video, but it kinda sounds like a rocker came loose. If you know you need a valve adjustment, then get one. Pay someone if you have to. Or buy a couple tools and learn!

No. And I hope you realize that those squeegees were never, ever meant to be used on paint.
The first car I ever rode in was an e30

i know but i had three fat turds making my car look like asshole. It was out of desperation, and i totally regret it now. :(
however, ride, performance, etc hasnt been afected, should i be worried?
will my paint get all messed up now?

Unless you have a good coat of wax, I think it's better to get bird poop off ASAP.

But I was reading this hoping for the punchline."I popped the hood and one of those -blankety blank-birds was caught under there! So I drove over some speed bumps to teach him a lesson!"

So I got a little bit deeper, and I actually couldn't hear it from the engine or headers, however I put my head by where all the sensors are, and I heard it, in great detail coming from that general area. I'm thinking the exhaust pipes? Could I have gotten water in the exhaust some how?

You might see if either your heat shields are loose, just below the sparkplugs, or if the heat shield on the Cat converter is loose as well. Or maybe the heatshield for the Control Arm Bushing is rubbing?

Okay, would that make it happen at 3 rpm every time though? Ill put up another video trying to clarify that noise

Video, in my opinion, doesn't help much. If I were there, tilting my head and actually hearing everything that would help me narrow it down.

I listened to your video, and it seems more "tin-ie" sounding from the sound inside the car, and it seems to rattle more as the rpms are dropping. I would bet it's some exhaust shielding.

But like I said I'm not there to witness it for myself.

Let me just tell you now - you didn't do anything by using the squeegee to get the shit off the car. The problem that you have now is completely unrelated.

Nah it'll be fine. The squeegee could mar it badly, but bird shit stains are nearly impossible to correct in paint.

Thanks for all the feed back guys, is this something relatively easy to fix? Again I'm new to working in my own car.

If its a heat shield then yes it's normally easy to fix. Just look into what it is specifically and we'll help you out. Often times exhaust cracks and head shields only vibrate at specific RPM's.
