    air pump question

    hi guys,

      Will remove the air pump and put a straight hose instead. Would it be okay if I do that?

      The intake boot I will use will hold the ICV only and no arm for air pump.

      What do you think?

          I don't know why they call it an air pump but yes you can remove that. Just make sure you have a check valve in the line from throttle body to brake booster and you're fine.

              wow- never woulda thought it woulda been called that.

              Nope- lotsa cars didn't have that. I replaced mine with a tube and a hose
              and it seems to have no problems with braking.

              Air pumps USUALLY look more like this.
