    Decided to just order one of those spring loaded valve adjustment tools from bavarian auto.
    Previous Cars:

      Smart move. That tool makes the job of valve adjustments faster and easier, but more important it means that each valve will wind up with exactly the right clearance.

        Rather than 15W40, why not Rotella T6 5W40? They'll perform the same at operating temperature but the 5W will be better when the car is started cold. If oil has any effect on valve noise, both of these should have the same effect at operating temperature.
