    Changing Valve gasket?

So im going to be adjusting my valves again soon and im going to replace the rubber inserts on the end but i have a question

I can get the inserts for .47 each on Rockauto but it says its for the Euro models while they are 1.47 each on Bavauto... can i get the euro ones? i would assume an m20b25 is the same around the world but who knows?

Im also going to polish the cover while its off. Any tips on how to do it, i mean i know you have to clean it well but what do i put on it, and with what?
    Thanks

I would think its the same gasket. As for the cover strip thepaint best you can, mediablast it if possible.

The few Ive removed had rtv on them and I was not impressed. My best experience has been to put a thin coat of dielectric grease on the mating surface, slide them in (with the flange side facing inward toward the rocker) and install the valve cover as usual.

I got my most recent stash from autohausaz for about .75@

I would stay away from sandblasting or any media that does not dissolve unless you plan to rinse the valve cover really good. Last thing you want is some sand residue circulating through your motor. My machine shop guy uses soda.
