    Super eta 2.7i chip?

Got my 88 super eta up and runnin after swaping it to an "i". idles and runs great on the 173 ecu even w the super eta AFM and green top injectors. Any one know of a chip that would be well suited for this lower cr motor? i was told the 153 ecu has a better spark curve.

i haven't romped on it yet but there is for sure more go. I did a gtech run before w a best of 94hp and 124tq then several 80ish hp and 111ish tq runs. havent done it w the swap done yet. kinda waiting a few miles for everything to work out. But it runs perfect now, just like when it was stock.

yes MS would be nice but the budget is tight. I got lucky and did the swap, incld gasket kit TB etc, for well under 300$. probably closer to 250$ SCORE FOR ME :)

    THANKS!

I think your best bet is a MarkD(not a knock off) or a Miller War chip. Search all of that in this section, everything is covered.

Is there a plug and play chip that has a good tune specific to a super eta based 2.7i? As in, who knows enough about chip profiles and the oem i cam in a lower cr motor w different crank rod ratios than a regular i to say "hey this would work well"?

These swaps seem to be getting more popular. There has gotta be a chip other than a tunable , war ms etc, that'd get a bit more outta this exact setup.

Yes I'd love to mess w ostrich and tuner pro or MS, but I have neither time it money for it. Or am I think bout it to much and should just get any ol chip for a 325i?

And that other website that was posted doesnt make a chip for a 2.7i. So while I have searched I will continue to ask as well.

      Thanks.

Turnermotor sport makes a b25 chip. You just want to manage the conversion so that is 1.3 mototronic.

        Where in upstate are you?

              sub'd

subscribed in case theres a preferred chip for this type of motor..

I'm currently assembling a motor for the wife's car with seta bottom and I top with M50 injectors.
I just bought the MarkD chip for 173 ecu, 17lb injectors on 93octane as it seemed my best option.
Really not intrested in marrying this project with tuner tinkering so just wan't something to plug in and forget so all that megasquirt, WAR etc isnt a consideration for me.

I used an alpina b3 chip when I first put together my 2.7i. a proper tune is a better idea
