Alright, I've been doing some research on this, and based on the intake manifold I believe I have an m20b25, however, according to carfax my car is a base 325 coupe and has a 2.7l. I have zero history on the car, so I'm wondering if it was swapped. Can you tell from this pic?

That is definitely an M20B25 intake. But doesn't tell you what the engine actually is. You'd have to get a peek at top of a piston to know for more. CarFax is not all that reliable. Plug in the last 7 of the VIN at realoem.com to see what BMW thinks the car is.The car makes it possible, but the driver makes it happen.

Just thought I'd give an update. yert315 came out Friday to give me a hand with some maintenance, and we cracked the valve cover open... from the look of things, the bottom end appears to be original, but it has an i head and intake. The cluster was also swapped, so it appears to have been converted to a stroker. Lucky me, I guess. :)
