FYI... I checked the valve to piston clearance with a Schrick 284/272 camshaft in a stock 325i motor with a stock head gasket, full thickness head, and the stock cam sprocket in the stock position. Exhaust valve clearance was 2mm+. Intake clearance was only 0.6 mm.
