    Misfires will produce the same fuel smell and AFR. I've see this caused by a bad engine harness and a bad DME. Then of course there is the possibility of bad ignition wires or plugs. If you don't have NGK ZGR5A plugs in the engine, try changing to those.
    The car makes it possible, but the driver makes it happen.

      I was gonna tell you that today emerson. Swap out those plug wires cause I had this problem on the turbo car. Kept changing out fpr's cause I thought I had a fuel problem turns out it was weak spark/misfires. I built those msd wires and everything worked perfect. You can try my wires if you want.
