    M20 vert vs M20 4 door 5speed

So I have a couple of questions about this. I have a 1987-88 325i vert and I'm going to do a engine swap, nothing spesial! Just a "new" m20 motor.

    I have this opportunity to buy this 4door 325 5speed! "89" But I'm curious if it's a plug and play motor/traini etc..

If there is a difference what? And what do I have to buy or fix or replace?

My vert is an automatic so this is a great opportunity for me to do a 5speed swap to!

    Here is my build

    Thanks!

The parts are a direct swap.
The car makes it possible, but the driver makes it happen.

Once you get the motor/transmission out of the 4-door, spend some time throughly cleaning it. I'd recommend replacing all of the seals & gaskets, timing belt/tensioner & water pump, having the flywheel surfaced, and replacing the clutch. That is much easier to do with the engine/transmission out.

Thanks! How much $$ will this cost me?

Cheap. $150 or so. You could go nuts with all the little stuff, but that'll get you the majority of it.
