    1988 325e No Power

Just did a bunch of work to my 1988 325e and now its idling very bad and has no power when I press the gas. I also just did a hot soak. Stomp test shows 1221 but the DME is reading a brand new O2. Also the cae has the same issues whether it is hot or cold.

    Things Ive checked:
All wires have spark and are going to the correct position in the distributor plug. I also ran wires from my own car. Same problem.
    Fuel pressure is dead perfect.
AFM and ICV test perfect, I swapped from two other cars, same issue.

The muffler has been on its way out. I thinking clog cat or muffler. Thoughts?

Fog test? That sort of sounds like you tried to do a DIY smoke test. Which is okay if the test was done properly. That would mean plugging the exhaust, replacing the AFM with am adapter for smoke introduction, and pressurizing the system to 2-4psi of smoke. That pressure must be held for at least 5 minutes.

The symptoms described are consistent with intake leaks, a fuel delivery problem, a bad AFM, or a plugged exhaust. Diagnose in that order.
The car makes it possible, but the driver makes it happen.
