M20 eta coolant level sensor out of stock... EVERYWHERE

Is there something I am missing, or should I be using a different coolant level sensor? It's strange that its out of stock every single place I checked.

I have an 87 (10-86 build date) 325e with the blimp-shaped expansion tank.
Part number for the coolant level sensor is 61311378320

Your dealer can probably get it for you 3-4 days if they don't have it in stock.

I was more concerned about the correct one being discontinued, or replaced by another part number that I couldn't find... Just strange that out of 20 online sellers, all 20 are out of stock on that particular coolant level sensor.

Should be able to get one of these through a special order. I usually buy my special orders through Bavauto. Your part number is probably just discontinued and replaced with a newer one.

The older ones have round male pins. The newer have flat pins. My sensor crapped out on me and I replaced with the newer style with flat pins, even though my connector was a socket for round pins.

I just cut off the connector and crimped spade receptacles. Wiring does not matter because it is just a "switch" that opens when the fluid is low. Works great.
