Another newb 2.7i stroker harness question

i am new to BMWs.. sorry for the ultra noob question and has probably been asked many times . i have a 87 eta 5speed and im interested in doin the 2.7i stroker turbo. i have been reading the how to 2.7i stroker thread and was wanting to know if i need to get a manual transmission engine harness from the 2.5i and does the harness need to be modified in any way to work with the eta? i am already looking for parts for this build on this forum and locally. but i am stuck on this question at the moment. any info is appreciated.

There is no difference in manual and auto engine harnesses.

If you get a harness from an 87 325i/is it will be plug and play. If you get an 88+ harness you will need to wire the tach.

So an 87' 325i/s engine harness on 87'eta block will plug and play with the 173 ecu, 89'-91 885 head and all the parts to make a 2.7i stroker? if i go with the 88+ harness.. i think i read the 88+ 325i gauge cluster will work without having to wire it up?

Yes it will plug right in. And the i cluster will work fine.
