    A tone have this problem

New mrE head last summer and no problems until a month before it went in for the winter. I started to see som oil seeping out. I think I found the cause but was not shore. What I may have found is once the car worms up oil seeps out from the front and back of the head weather it is dripping down on to the block or is coming out of the head gasket No FUCKING GOOD. So I poked around and found it may be coming from the valve cover gasket and the rubber rocker shaft half moon plugs, there are four of them 2 in the front and 2 in the rear. So what I am asking is, is this a regular problem? I have never seen it. So I ordered a new gasket and new rocker shaft plugs. Hope this solves the problem. Praying it is not the head gasket. Any more ideas?

If there's oil on the head, it's coming from the valve cover gasket, rocker shaft plugs, or cam seal/o-ring on the front of the motor. If the head is clean but your block has fresh oil on it, then you could be looking at a head gasket problem.

The rocker plugs need a light coat of silicone or they'll leak.

I put mine in dry and they've been fine, but I suppose I got lucky. From what I've read, they mostly DO leak.
