    FI bsaed build

ok so heres what i got: 1987 BMW 325is
    hx35
    blowoff valve
    charge tubing
    2.5'x8x14 intercooler
    turbo header (equal legnth tubes)
all the guages you could want to monitir vitals
    WAR chip

so i put the car all together and kaboom. byebye head gasket. i took it apart replaced the gasket and when i was timing my engine i noticed a hissing sound when a compresion stroke would happen so i figure i toasted some rings. the head is sound so i know its not leaky valves. i had the oil pan off and heard the noise from the bottom end. so now the car is setting and has no need to be drivin because i am going to school at uti in az and the car is in idaho and while i am in my foirst program here im going to rebuild my ford diesel truck. so my plan is to build the spare m20 that i have and by the time im done with school ill have my truck and m20 ready to go. the rpoblem im having is sourceingthe parts for the m20. i know all the hows just not the wheres.......

i ned to know all the best parts adn where to get them. the goal for this car is mostly track but occasional street buiild to reliavbly handle 450-500hp. i figure 450hp and then meth. so somewhere in the 450-500 range.

    parts.....

mahl, wiesco or JE? should i ceramic coat them?
where do i get seals, gaskets, bearings etc from?
i already know about machine work.
are things like cryogenic process a benfit or na not really for m application?
are other coatings/prosseces better than ceramic?
    ignition
    plugs
    wires
    arps
is the war good enough or should i go another rout
what comprssion ratio should i shoot for?
    anything else im missing?

basicly i want to have a car that is fun fast and reliable so help me over the next year put together a list of components that will accomplish this.

thansk for your help in advance you all have always been very nice and helpful. thansk gents

"fast and reliable" at those power levels won't both come from an M20 engine at the same time. Pick one and build accordingly. To achieve both at the same time consider an LS1 (or better) swap.
The car makes it possible, but the driver makes it happen.

pretty sure there are members here and other forums that make that or close to it reliably. remember this isnt a daily driver i want to be able to to have the motor last a couple years then maybe do a refresh depending on the shape its in so reliable in this case is the ablility to not have it come apart every 40hrs of use. plus thats why i was asking about getting everything cryo'd and or have a coating put on them to make things last longer. tuning is everyhting and this will be tuned correctly but i need to know the best components for a rebuild

So your not gonna research and read? Just expect people to answer everything for you?

Read through some build threads on e30tech and here. That will help you more than people telling you what you need, all you will get from this is abunch of completly different opinions from people who don't know forced induction and the people who have experience will tell you to research.

So far I haven't found any real sources for parts that I need. Just recommended companies not dealers. Also I was wondering about coatings and hardening processes but instead I get stupid replies so maybe I should ask elsewhere......never mind no need to respond anymore to this post.

Well with that attitude there is certainly no need for anyone to try to help.

You're asking a shit ton out of your m20 to reach an efficient 500hp reliably.
Research more and/or take Jim's advice and get a better motor to swap/boost.

Driving my friend's 412whp s50 turbo e30 with the longest gearing available is already a deathwish, why do you want 500hp and THEN meth?

Sorry for the bad attitude but just because some are to lazy, not dedicated enough or for most it's repeating BS others have said does not in any way mean it cannot be done. So I was asking for reputable parts dealers and parts. Not for a bunch of nay Sayers and as for my own research, I have done a lot but got lots of mixed reviews and no one has a good place to get them. I've been on other boards and thought this one would be better but if the responses are the same as other ill move on to the next. So thanks but no thanks I'm on to the next......
