    Damage Mark D chip?

This sucks, the other day there was a short in my wiring harness that fried my computer, in it was a mark d chip. Does anyone know if the chip could of been damaged as well? Any way of testing it? I have a new computer, but if I instal the chip in it would I damage the good computer as well? Thanks guys

I don't think a fried chip will damage any other components. If it is ruined, you're car won't run, but it shouldn't bring a functional DME down with it if you try to crank her up.

I am interested to hear from somebody who knows for sure though...
