Sounds like you probably have a seta engine but as said previously a pic or two would probably quickly sort this out

question now is what crank sensor? I was told that the 325e damper is toothless so i would need a 325i cps

An SETA will use the front mounted I car style cps. as opposed to the ETA using two sensors mounted in the bell housing of the trans to reference the flywheel for cps
