    Fuel hose to FPR?

I installed a new FPR, and the fuel supply hose connecting to the FPR looks like it had some cracks. Initially there were no leaks, but today on my way to work I could smell gas.

Can I replace the hose with a generic length of fuel hose from NAPA? Or should I order a BMW specific part? If generic, what size hose would I need?

Drive your car to NAPA (or other), explain what you need, they can match the hose.

D8x13. Inner and outer diameter in mm of the hose. I cant see why getting a hose of those dimensions rated for fuel of another manufacturer would be a problem.

You can use generic 5/16" fuel hose for the line that connects to the FPR as it is not under pressure. But you must use hose rated for fuel injection service for the high pressure parts of the fuel system.
The car makes it possible, but the driver makes it happen.

Blunttech sells 5 m reel for $45.00. You should replace all your fuel hoses.

thanks for the responses! I may use Jlevie's suggestion to get me through the week, and then order the hose from blunttech for the larger project.

There's no need to order OEM hose. The 5/16 fuel injection hose is just fine.

5/16 NAPA fuel injection hose is more expensive than Blunttech, at least locally. But, if you need just a short section then go for it.

I bought 5m from autohausaz for $32 and regardless of what the pressure in the line is you should huge fuel injection rated hose since it will stand up to ethanol whereas standard fuel line will not.
